Giving to the needy:“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honoured by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Reflection: To me, the text is saying that when you help someone do not look for attention in doing a good deed. A humble person is grateful and lowkey, doing nice things but not expecting anything in return.You may do things in secret but God sees you and when you pass and go to heaven he will reward you

Explanation:
Today I had my first lesson of hip-hop dance taught by Jess
our new dance instructor.
It was a bit awkward at first to dance with a phobia that someone
would laugh or judge me, but soon that changed because Jess
said that no one laughs at anyone or themselves.
We started off with a warm-up like moving our head around and
body.
We started to learn how to do the arm wave it was so difficult to
do that by the time I got the hang of it it was time to do some
games.
We started off with a game of freeze, in this game you have to
dance whatever you desire until the music stops and then
Jess calls out a shape and you have to pose it.
We played this other game but I can’t remember the name of it
but we ran around the hall.
After that we left but just before we said thank you to Jess.

Today I have been learning how to analyse texts and also we have summarized the text using the five finger words, (also known as the 5 W).

What is in the text? A story about the butterflies.

Why it happened?Suspicious that butterflies will kill.

How it happened? Sadly

Summary

This story is about a granddaughter that lives with her grandmother and grandfather. In the morning she goes to school and writes a story and comes back home in the afternoon. She soon explains to them about the story that she’d written at school about killing butterflies. She tells them that her teacher told her “Butterflies are beautiful creatures that fly through the sky and then die after the laying of their eggs.”

After a while of silence still in the garden, her grandfather tells her “Because you see your teacher, she buys all her cabbages from the supermarket and that’s why”.
